WARBURTON RECREATION RESERVE PLAYGROUND

Public BBQ

A charming riverside playground on the banks of the Yarra in Warburton, with a nature-play bent that gives kids something to learn about as well as climb on. It sits in a cool, shaded pocket of the reserve and makes an easy spot to relax while the children run about, and it is popular enough to be busy most weekends. The setting does a lot of the work here: lush forest on all sides, the river running past, and the Warburton Rail Trail close by for a walk or a ride. Cafes and shops in the town are a short stroll away, and the Redwood Forest is worth the short trip for anyone who likes a bit of scenery with their day out.
